Shane McCormick is a photographer drawn to overlooked, ordinary places and the people who pass through them.

After seventeen years working professionally across music, fashion, and commercial photography, his personal practice has turned toward fine art: images that find the surface and weight of painting in everyday life. In recent work, Shane photographs through whatever sits between me and the world, a warped car window, the light of a foreign street, and lets that barrier change what he notices, turning the mundane into something painterly and strange.
